Correct posture can help improve your breathing and increase your overall comfort, and the Original Cincher Women’s Back Support was designed with this in mind. Tailored to the female form, this lends support where women need it most: at the lower back, where vertebrae are most sensitive. Worn under clothes or over casual wear, the Cincher features high-density power mesh and vertical supports that compress the abdomen and lower back. You’ll get a custom fit thanks to adjustable shoulder straps, a racer back, a front hook-and-loop closure and two side straps. Caution: If you are under a doctor’s care for your back, please consult prior to usage.

ITEM DOES NOT FIT.,
If you’re petite with a curvy waist, don’t expect it to fit you. And if you find this out after trying it out, don’t expect a refund for your return from The Therapy Connection at HPMS Inc. They just declined the refund after my return and asking to ship it back to me at my cost. This is a greedy company with aweful service and an unjust view. I filed an A-to-Z claim with Amazon and will NEVER buy from this company again. This is a Cincher, not underwear, don’t let them harass you over health-hygiene reasons. If “trying on” counts for non-hygienic, then “no-returns accepted” should be posted on the article. Again, ill business practice is a huge turn off.

Excellent Back Support!,
This review is from:
I’ve had this for about 5 days or so and it has truly helped relieve the pain I have had from a sore spine, as well as preventing an aching back while doing chores.
This is a high quality support and I feel it is well priced for what you get. It’s easy to adjust, holds the tummy in and makes me stand up straight naturally it seems without any effort on my part. However, I have noticed that I am more aware of my abs and I think I am more conscious with trying to engage them, which is a good thing.
I got the large according to the sizing chart and if it were any larger it would be too big for me. The shoulder straps are the tightest that they will go and they are basically sitting on my shoulders with no pull on the elastic. I followed the directions that come with it so I know I have it perfectly positioned where it’s supposed to be. I typically wear a size 14. I’m thinking of ordering black in medium verses the large.
I’ve worn it both under and on top of a shirt. Both ways were comfortable for me and I had no scratchiness against my skin.
I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in improving their posture as well as relieving back pain due to poor posture or other causes. It just feels good!
UPDATE JUNE 21, 2013:
I went ahead and ordered a black one in size medium verses Large. The medium gives me less velcro to work with but the ability to add even more support than the large. With the large I was on the verge of overlapping the front flaps.

Excellent support, fits well,
This review is from:
I have chronic mid- and lower- back pain and I’m in physical therapy for it. I brought this to my therapist and she said it was an excellent choice because it wasn’t too stiff or too flexible. (She did caution me not to wear any kind of support for long periods of time, beecuse the back muscles will get weak.) I wear this when doing household chores like emptying the dishwasher or carrying baskets of laundry. I do recommend bending over at the waist instead of squatting, because squatting tends to push the brace up over the hips, and you will need to pull it back down when you stand up.
Other people are saying these run small. I was borderline between getting a small or a medium. I have a 28″ waist and 33″ hips. I have to cinch it up pretty tightly and I nearly run out of velcro (meaning if it were a smaller size, I would have more velcro “left over” after cinching.) The straps are too long for my short torso, but they’d be fine on the average person. I like the racerback style because they do not fall off my shoulders. This is definitely made for a woman – I have tried mens’ back supports and they do not work with my hips at all.
