Having lower back pain? It might be sciatica. Sciatica is a term that describes low back pain that radiates through the hip, to the back of the thigh, and down the inside of the leg. It’s a symptom rather than a specific diagnosis. What causes it? Compression, irritation, or injury of the sciatic nerve or lower vertebrae. Yoga therapy is a holistic system of therapy where you use yogic practices to prevent and treat different problems with the body and mind – things like sciatica. This video is a great place to start when you want fast relief in your low back!

  1. Thank you so much for this video, Brett! I've been following your videos since 2016, and you have helped me so much over the years! I've tried everything with my sciatic pain – medicine, different sleeping positions, patches, and nothing has worked. But this routine has changed that for me! My leg was hurting so badly I couldn't stand, and I did this routine and I feel no pain! I've been doing this for a few days now, and it's a game changer. Thank you so much!

  2. Thanks Brett, that last 💗💗one really attacked my upper glutes. It helped too. I am in some serious deep sciatic pain today. Those muscles are so darn tight maybe from jogging, my back always wants to come up.

  3. There's so much of forward bends in this session that you depicted which once you said are not good for someone dealing with sciatica. Also it could worsen the condition. So I really didn't get this. Please explain.

  4. Loved your yoga for sciatica and lower back pain! Will try these moves as well. Elizabeth looks awesome doing these. Will try to do daily and see if I can master them as well for my sciatica pain. Thank you,
