How to Relieve Shoulder Arthritis Pain in 30 SECONDS

Dr. Rowe shows how to quickly relieve arthritic shoulder pain at home.

Osteoarthritis (or wear and tear arthritis) of the shoulder tends to cause pain by creating muscle tightness, joint stiffness, and shoulder weakness over time.

This video will help address each of these with different exercises, helping to improve pain free range of motion and strengthen the shoulder (and rotator cuff) for long-lasting relief.

To get the best results, make sure to go through all parts and exercises and use what works best for you.

As a bonus, all of these exercises can be done at home, require no special equipment, and may give quick shoulder pain relief… even in as little as 30 SECONDS!

  2. Thank you!
    Exercises are terrific!
Have been getting epidurals for years.
Mild exercise and stretches help me getting back to golf.
Still can barely get rt. hand behind back (at ease?).
I will 7:54 let you know how this works.😅

  3. Hello Dr Rowe, Jason here from the UK. Thank you for this video. I had my right shoulder dislocated twice within a few days in 2023 (believe it or not by medical staff when I was having a seizure) and been in pain ever since. My right shoulder seems to be about 1 inch lower than my left shoulder and when I do a circle movement with my right side I can sort of hear a grinding, crackling noise from inside my shoulder. I will definitely try these Exercises, also subscribed 🙂

  4. I can see you the exercises would work, but honestly, if you are old enough to have arthritis, you probably have problems with your knees as well. My knees can't handle this unfortunately.

  5. Rehab needs to be customized to the person. It just doesn't seem right for me to do this exercise several times a day and go to work. Generally, my shoulders hurt by the end of the day and I'm not sure more exercise will help.

  6. Great video! I have done sets of push-ups every other day for 25 years, now that I am 72 years old I was wondering if it is wise to continue? I have noticed that it really aggravates what appears to be arthritis of the shoulder the past month, would appreciate your opinion, thanks much!

  7. Good information. Thank you. On that last exercise, you mention coming to a position where you feel it is hitting your shoulder particularly well. Is that the same spot where you feel the most horrible shoulder pain? And when I feel the most severe pain, I should try to do extra catches at that spot? As you can see, I'm confused by what you meant.

  8. Good exercises. They help me loosen up and I have severe bone on bone. I can’t do surgery bc I’m not ready to give up lifting. I’ve had two torn rotator cuffs too. The first one was really good for losening up

  9. Hello Dr. Rowe, I'm Bharat from India. I have been facing shoulder pain for the last 7 years. I can't even lift heavy waits or do pushups or pull-ups. Dr. in India suggested a few blood tests too and Nucoxia 90 MG tablets for pain relief. My RA Factor blood report is positive. Dr. Told me as per my reports and conditions I'm not suffering from Arthritis. Let me know if there is any way we can connect. Kind Regards- Bharat.

  10. I've experienced pain from osteoarthritis in my shoulder for the last 10 years. I've tried various treatments and applications, but nothing has been as effective as the exercises provided in your video. I'm amazed and extremely grateful. From the UK: thank you for your help and generosity.

  11. My wife entered the room when I was watching this. I told her that he is a world-renowned house cleaner. She believed me but did not understand why he was going into so much detail. Jokes aside my shoulders burn.

  12. The first two brought immediate relief. Behind the back is a bear with my left arm. Probably to much pain burt the flexibility improved after a few sets. This osteoarthritis in my case forces me to stretch or the pain lingers indefinitely. Great alternatives to the band work I got a PT office. Already have a better outlook today. 🙂

  13. My pain has been debilitating and I was skeptical that any exercise would help but I tried these and it was painful to do them so I thought they weren’t working. I couldn’t do them all the way but I did the best I could. When I was finished I was surprised to find that my pain had abated enough for me to get some chores done. You’ve got yourself a fan! Thank you so much for making this video! Big thumbs up and subscribed! 👍 ❤
