Leg extensions, wall sits, quad sets, & pistol squats all are TERRIBLE exercises for knee osteoarthritis!!! Focus on doing glute dominant exercises instead.

But show us what to do please!! 😢
OK, so tell us what not to do but don’t include anything that we should do?
Re; knee OA.What about the exs for plantar fascitis? Was told to extend leg, PT pushed hard again my
foot, got the stretch, but my knee hurt, it felt like knee joint/bone. Also push extended leg ,, bent ankle against wall. moves. (&have meniscal tears, & ACL tears. Is that ok? Thanks
Then what exercises to do for OA knee then ? 😂
This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Quads are what hold your knee in place.
I know I need to strengthen my glutes, but my knee pain makes it hard to do. I feel like I've been to a torture chamber after doing physical therapy.
Maybe you can tell my physical therapist?
While you are Walking you can Focus on glutes and Back muscles. IT immediately releases the pressure on your legs.
I did some Taichi recently where you constantly Bend your knees. IT got worse and is swollen now.
At least address the fact that timing and load management is the most important factor. When progressed appropriately, I’d argue the first two exercises are BENEFICIAL for knee arthritis. It is extremely individual. shame on you for making dogmatic statements that confuse an already confused population of people in pain who are receiving conflicting advice. At the very least cite some sources that back your statement.
That totally makes all the sense
Obviously most people with healthy knees aren’t doing pistol squats..the others are good exercises for knee pain just don’t go ham right off the rip with the weight..he didn’t even
Mention the hips where a lot of knee pain originates as well..this video not great information..
Leg extensions always makes my knees feel better though
Really.????
Be good to see the ex😮ercises to do instead. I need to keep my paleta tracking and quad exercises are required for that, yes?
Those are the exact same exercise as my therapist has me doing now.
Nonsense.
Of course glute exercises are essential, but what he says about quads is nonsense (IMO).
Squats, chair, are essential.
Mobility is the issue.
Next question is a sharp stabbing pain on inside of knee. How can move leg to relieve the pain?
Thanks so much I'm 5ft and drive big rig (truck). And I put my my leg up and out on solid part of truck when driving on a rough road oops 😬 😅.
So you are saying don’t work quads if you have knee osteoarthritis? Seems counterintuitive to me.
Is exactly opposite
Thank you… I have just found u and watched ur videos… so needed to hear this 🙏
Excellent video exercises and explanations. Thank you, for sharing
