Master THIS exercise with arthritis ⚠️

There are MANY benefits ✅

Side stepping is something that most people do not do very often. Everything in our lives involves primarily moving in a forwards direction ➡️

My grandmother in law is in town and at 87, she’s out adventuring with us. She has a history of two knee replacements and exercises regularly 👏🏼

Moving sideways can help:

✨ use important muscles in the hip that help support both the hip and knee

✨ challenge balance

✨ challenge hip mobility

✨ simple to do in daily life

A good place to start for most is simply attempting sideways stepping for 8-10 repetitions to see how it feels. Then continue to increase repetitions as you feel more confident ✅

⚠️ Use support as needed to avoid loss of balance, balance and/or compensations ⚠️

  1. Your grandma is amazing!! What a good sport, too! I have been watching you for a couple of years now, and I credit your videos with me being pain-free at 80. I still work in retail (my retirement job😂) and I by C do a series of your exercises about three times a week. Thank you, Dr Alyssa! You
    provide just what I need!!❤❤❤
