Master this to help with lower back pain and stiffness

Take pressure off of your back muscles ☝🏽

If you aren’t able to move your hips or upper body without your back responding- your back muscles are likely overworking during many different activities. Meaning they are on overdrive which can lead to irritation 🫠

This exercise helps to work on controlling your spine and hips to reduce this overactivity while you alternate lifting your arms up overhead ✅

Many people will want to arch their back as they raise their arms overhead which is a compensation that can lead to more back stiffness and tightness 😵‍💫

Using a wall for feedback can help your body to learn the control that can then translate to every day life 🙌🏼

10-20 alternating lifts may be a good place to start for most. Only lift your arm as high as is comfortable for you ⚠️

This can be a great exercise to incorporate everyday or every other day, as long as it feels good, so you’re body gets enough repetitions to start learning 👍🏽

If you’re looking for other ways to reduce back pain and stiffness- strengthening is one of the BEST ways to do so. Inside the membership, Adventurers for Life- you’ll learn some of the best movements to help you feel confident again 😍

  3. This is almost like "reaching" planks. Get in the plank position then hold, tighten, and support yourself with one elbow whike you reach forward with the other arm then alternate.
