Wow, this was fascinating. I definitely have RA, confirmed by multiple rheumatology professionals, but I have very few of the signs and symptoms you list. Weird. I wonder if that was part of the reason it took THREE YEARS of pain, misery, and disability (and no doubt joint damage) to diagnose. In the end I had to diagnose myself and demand the test. Things got a lot better after that and I have responded very well to medication. I'm very thankful for that, and to be living in a time with such good treatments.

The pain can ease up with motion, but returns with a vengeance afterwards.
Please show photos of the manifestations in the joints in the early phases. The photos of prolonged damage is dramatic but not useful in a practical sense.

I'm 17 and i have tested ra positive.
Things to follow for betterment:
Boiled veggies every day
Sunlight for atleast 20-30 min
Eat only egg white and no yellow
No non veg for atleast 3-4 months
heat pad for pains.
No junk food and frozen foods.
I strictly followed this diet and this helped me so much..just in 3 months i tested ra negative. note: i was on my medicine along with this diet.

At the age 32 I was sure it was RA and simply ignored the pains just to avoid medicines from that age. No visible deformities except pain all over my body and muscles which I now have used to bear and ignore.

Horrible disease. One of the worst there is. It is slow, torturous, and relentless. And if you do not take your meds carefully, regularly, and without fail, it gets worse. Listen to your rheumatologist.
Today I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, Reumathoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.. doctor said that I could have had it for a long time. But symptoms came like 3 years ago, I thought it was regular body pains, never got checked. But now that my knees, started hurting so bad and I even have trigger finger, my hands is swollen, did a ana test came out positive, and then a bone scan, looks like every joints in my body are affected. Its the worst illness in my opinion. It took so much away from my Grandma, she was a beautiful model and by the age of 30 she was bad bound. Luckily she lived till 62 but it wasnt easy she struggled everyday. RIP Nan x
