⚠️🦴 Post-Spine Surgery? Don’t Skip Your Back Exercises!

⚠️🦴 Post-Spine Surgery? Don’t Skip Your Back Exercises!
Recovering from spine surgery is not just about rest – it’s about the right rehab 🏋️‍♂️🩺. Many patients feel relief after surgery and think they can stop exercises, but skipping them can lead to stiffness, muscle weakness, poor spine stability, and even risk of re-injury 😣.

💡 Why Back Exercises Matter After Surgery
✅ Strengthen core & back muscles 💪
✅ Improve flexibility & posture 🧘‍♂️
✅ Prevent recurrence of back pain 🚫
✅ Boost overall recovery speed ⏱️

🚨 Warning: Doing exercises incorrectly or skipping them altogether can be dangerous. Always follow your doctor’s prescribed physiotherapy plan to ensure safe and effective healing.

  3. This MRI report for Mr. MD Ankus details findings related to difficulty in walking, revealing several issues in the lumbar/lumbosacral spine:

    Disc Degeneration and Bulging:

Straightening of the lumbar spine, disc desiccation at all levels, and loss of disc height at L2-L3 and L4-L5 are noted. Multiple levels show diffuse posterior disc bulges with varying degrees of protrusion and associated osteophytes and facet joint hypertrophy.

    Nerve Compression and Narrowing:

These disc and joint issues are causing significant problems, including thecal sac indentation, indentation of traversing nerve roots, and moderate to severe neural foraminal narrowing at various levels (L5-S1, L4-L5, L3-L4, L2-L3).

    Other Findings:

Anterior osteophytes, small type II Modic end plate signal changes, and Schmorl's nodes are seen in the lumbar vertebrae. Patchy type 1 Modic end plate signal changes and mild left paravertebral soft tissue edema are also noted at L2 and L3.

    Normal Structures:

The nerve roots of the cauda equina at L1-L2 appear redundant, while the rest of the disc spaces, neural foramina, visualized cord, conus, and cauda equina appear normal in signal.
