Modern disc replacement technology has been around for many many years, but the best is yet to come!

Each year more surgeons are finally trained on this technology. I just caution that you find someone that does a lot of these and understands the indications which disk replacement is best for you!

Follow along so I can help teach you, protect you, and empower you!

As a board-certified spine surgeon in Dallas specializing in disc replacement, I’ve seen this become one of the biggest trends in spine surgery in 2023—and it’s here to stay. Disc replacement can relieve pain, preserve motion, and help patients get back to work, sports, and life faster than traditional fusion surgery.

I treat patients from across Texas and the U.S., offering both in-office and telemedicine consultations to make expert spine care accessible.

Recovery?
Most patients are up and moving within a day, with many returning to light activities within weeks—while protecting the long-term health of the spine.

  1. Im only 32year. I have worn disc at cervical from C4 to C8. Losing strength on right. Multiple tendon pain in hands. Is it time to get disc replacement? If i do replacement then do i have revisit this after 20 or 30 years

  2. How long to recover and back to work with something like this?
I’ve had L5-S1 fused and seemed better for awhile after surgery although Dr said I made him do a lot of work in there and he “nicked” my peritoneum which man .. I don’t know if it was that or something else but I’d be sitting there and all of a sudden it felt like someone took a super hot speaker wire and laid it in my right pelvis/groin area to over my right…um testicle and it was on fire for like 10 seconds just out of the blue and there wasn’t nothing anyone could do or nothing. Just had to take it.
But nowadays I got super bad annoying razor blade pain across low back like waist area and left side is worst. Idk if I got like an iliac vein thrombosis or what , or May-Thurner syndrome cause my left sides killing bad all the time, trip over foot again and issues going to bathroom. Always burning and probably bad arthritis and scar tissue. I’m 47 year old man and drs will say I’ve got bones like an 80 year old or older. I know my psoas muscles are shot especially on left side . Probably due to nerve damage and blood flow being restricted . I try to keep moving though cause if ya don’t then ya lock up and get worse. Necks fused also at c6-c7. But the backs a killing 24/7 365. . I gotta work , as long as I can as I’m 1 with insurance and retirement and she don’t. But gosh dang the days can be so long . But anyways god bless.

  3. I have L5S1 disc extrusion and free fragment is possible. this? I feel pain in my leg R+ pressure in buttons and behind tight. I performance softhwave but my low pain is painful. And how many months for recover. I AM nurse I needed work .

  4. This device sure looks like a great invention… I sed s screw going into the bottom vertebrae. Discs are between 2 vertebrae, correct? So, the device is going between 2 vertebrae and the screw is drilled into the bottom vertebrae but it does not seem like the screw connects to the device, does it?

  5. I have 6 bulging disc, L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, S1.
Three of the disks are disc bulge with abuts the bilateral traversing. So the disk bulge is pinching on both sides. All 6 disks have moderate facet arthropathy. The pain is there everyday, it keeps me up when trying to sleep, bending over too much some days it's more manageable other times I can hardly walk or bend. PT did nothing but make me feel worse, I had steroid injections, nerve blocks and nerve ablation. But I still have pain. I'm a little worried about getting surgery. Any info on opinions would be greatly appreciated

  6. After an accident long ago my cerical spine hurt the most. After 20 years i was convinced to do the op. Although i had 4 disc damaged but only 2 was replaced. But it was 50% pain relief. Best thing i did.
Scared n taking meds can hurt kidneys.

  7. L5/S1: Mild to moderate disc desiccation, with mild diffuse disc bulge, with no narrowing of the lateral recesses, and only minimal narrowing of the right exiting neural foramen. This is my MRI scan. doctor do can i put back the jelly please let me know 💔🥲
