For anyone Studying for USMLE, a fun way to remember the presentation (for my NBA fans out there), think of Juvenile Arthritis as JA Morant (Point Guard for the Memphis Grizzlies (#12) – look up a picture of him for reference):
JA (Juvenile Arthritis) Morant
Morant (6 letters in his last name) = 6 weeks of joint pain in ~6 joints in a child less than 6 years old
#12 = Can happen in children around 12 too

They diagnosed me with JIA a month ago and i’m just worried, but i heard i gotta inject myself with Humira, Hopefully this helps. i remember when they told me I started it crying same for my mom, I just thought i wasn’t gonna be normal no more, I was just asking myself “why me?” Now this is for the rest of my life and i’m only 15.
How can the systemic form not have arthicular pain and still be called JAI?
