  1. If you have water therapy in your area, check the facility out prior to make sure for yourself. One thing I’ve found out from talking to many other arthritis & fibromyalgia patients, is that some can tolerate heat more (like myself) & others need more cooler temps. The place where I go can maintain temps in different areas of the pool. The aqua treadmill has been a blessing for me for sure! Land walking throws me into a flare every single time I attempt to walk as exercise. For me the flares vary from hours, days, weeks, even months. AquaTread in warm waist deep moving water hasn’t caused me to flare. It’s actually helped me, along with the other water therapy exercises I’ve been doing, like squats in waist deep water, steps, bands & bear hugs. Our facility has a deeper end where you can do what is called a “deep hang”. Oh my goodness, the first time I did that, wow! All the pressure & pain from my lower lumbar (spondylosis relief in my case) was relieved as long as I was there. Unfortunately I had to get out of the water. They have a chair lift to get in & out but ima get in with those 4 steps & out up them if it’s the last thing I ever do! With a death grip on the rail.😂 Determination I tell ya!
I’ve spent years learning what my body can handle as far as food goes. All this started in childhood for me & I’m 60 now. It’s just been the past 10 years since I’ve really been noticing what helps my gut, which in turn helps the rest of my body. Happy gut, more clarity & less inflammation… along with the water therapy & a tidbit of pain med. A Tylenol PM & 2 Tylenol 8 hr arthritis relief is what helps me when I don’t want to take the prescription pain med. There’s also an ointment called “Blue Stop” that works for me & and infrared massage pad in the ol’ recliner. One of these days I pray I get a recliner with built in massage & heat. That’d be awesome! Hope my long comment here helps someone. I know we’re all different. 🙏🏼🙌

  2. I watched this video today because I actually went to a doctor today because 3 weeks ago, I found a cyst like bump on the side of my index finger near the joint. I went back and forth about whether I should see a doctor or not and finally, I told myself to just do it. So I saw a doctor, he looked at it and decided to get xrays of my finger and he referred me to an ortopedic doctor. I'm 68 and I've never had a swelling/cyst-like thing on my fingers before or anywhere else. I don't know how this will all turn out, but I'm glad I'm getting it checked out. I made the right decision. If it doesn't look or feel right, do yourself a favor and get it checked out. At worst, you are finding it early and at best, it is nothing to worry about.

  3. This might help if I could afford the copayments to attend PT, massage, and acupuncture. Exercise just makes it worse and exhausts me. The topiramate and 1800mg of gabapentin aren’t doing much.
