  1. Pull-ups will do this anyway whilst strengthing your lats and core. Use the assisted to begin with, then work on achieving 6-12 reps unassisted. Kill two birds with one stone. Strengthing your back and core will lead to less back pain.

  2. I have one that’s even better my chiropractor gave me. Go to the lat pulldown station with the high pulley and the bar. Set the weight so it’s just heavy enough that when you sit back down it pulls you up.

    Relax as much as possible and slightly let your butt come off the seat so the only thing locking you in is your thighs on the pad. Let the weight of the lat pulldown bar pull your upper body up.

    No bullshit I’ve literally felt something shift in my lower back physically from doing this multiple times, and it’s in a good way.

    Something gets stuck on my left side of my spine after a deadlifting injury 10 years ago and this is the only thing that gets it every time.

    Doing the dead hang in the video will sometimes too but it’s not like the lat machine. Something about those plate weights pulling against your spine is primo.
