  1. My red heeler is around 10 and in perfect health. He had his first flare up and within hrs he couldn't even get up (very scary). Luckily he's walking again after the vet. I feared for the worst

  2. I have an Akbash – big boy – 6 years old. Used to love running through the Prairie on our 35 acre farm and has been known to enjoy the 2 to 3 mi.² area around our farm as well. There are gulleys and arroyos from some of the other farms, but not on my farm. He came home limping, and I thought that he had just been jumping in and out of deep goalies and doing his happy thing. He has gotten much worse in the past year. I did take him to an animal chiropractor, and he adjusted him a couple of times but what seemed to be the most good was making him stay in the house and lay down on his bed for 2 to 3 weeks and then he would be great for a while and then he would come in limping again at this point when he gets off his bed it’s like he’s putting most of his weight on his front legs and his back legs are just barely touching the floor and sometimes he just sits right back down again. I have a severe spinal injury and I’m on pain medication and it’s well managed but when my dog started crying out while laying on his bed, I gave him some oxycodone and it seemed to just relax him and knocked him out within about 15 minutes. He didn’t cry all night long and actually get up the next morning. Refresh and not limping extremely bad. I can’t stand to see any animal suffer at all. I’m very much naturalist until it comes to severe pain and then I will return to whatever painful that they prescribed for me a state that I gave in it is illegal for a chiropractor to do an x-ray of an animal, but it’s OK for a chiropractor to x-ray a human. In order for someone to get their dog x-rayed they have to take it to a vet or a vet hospital and I am an anti-VAX 100% so I’m not welcomed to those places. better to let my dog horribly suffer then or someone just to go ahead and x-ray him and read that x-ray and tell me what’s wrong so maybe we can help him. The state I live in is full of insane people and the government is ran by greedy, insane lawyers, and big Pharma companies. What a damn shame it all is.

  3. My dog was diagnosed with spinal arthritis. My dog enjoys running and going on hikes. But I know I should avoid doing this. This past Saturday she went on a hike and she did well. The hiking place about 4 miles. Should I continue to take her on hikes? Currently she is getting medication and laser therapy which seems to be helping her a lot. Also is there anything else you would recommend on to help her spinal arthritis. Any advice I would appreciate!

  4. My dogs both have arthritis, and we put them on Antinol supplements which has reduced their symptoms so much. It is a god send. saw a change in both of their moods when they started. They were clearly in pain!
