Quick Relief For Rhomboid Pain (Upper Back Pain)

Rhomboid pain is felt under the neck, the spine, and between the shoulder blades. It is also known as shoulder blade pain and upper back pain. Some experience pain as a shooting ache, strain, or spasm. Other symptoms include:

• Upper back area tenderness.

• A cracking or grinding sound when the shoulder blades are moved.

• Tightness, inflammation, and muscle knots surrounding the muscle.

• Loss of mobility, difficulty, or pain when moving the muscle.

• Pain during breathing

In this video, Ceazar, provides a simple, yet effective, stretch to help relieve the pain.

  1. Apparently this is what I needed. I could barely keep my hands apart. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if this did the trick pain up and down the spin when I did this but after several attempts back is feeling better.

  2. I have this excruciating pain for 2yrs already that keeps on coming back, it's been over 2 weeks that it continually aches and tried to search here on yt stuff that can help me & found this! When I got home from work I tried this and it really does work! Like 80% Thank u God bless!

  3. Omg my muscles in my upper back have been so tight for a year now. Did this stretch today and immediate flare up of pain within an hr. Hoping it's a sense of my body releasing toxins and inflammation

  4. As someone who has been suffering from upper back pain in the scapula, rhomboid, trapezius, neck and shoulder for about 8 years I should tell you:

Stretch and mobility it's just one face of a coin. At first mobility and stretch help a lot and even feels miraculous, but if you don't strengthen your muscles to support you, sooner or later (may take a couple of months) your pain will come back worse and no stretch or mobility will help you.

Strength training is also really important.
