2 quick exercises to to relieve knee stiffness in the morning



Knee stiffness in the morning 😣😣😣

It is possible to find relief ✅

Simple and gentle movements can really go a long way in promoting blood flow, reducing muscle tightness and improving mobility so the first few steps are so difficult ☝🏽

The key is making sure they don’t increase pain ⚠️

Here are two of my favorites when it comes to reducing knee stiffness when getting out of bed ✨

1️⃣ Forward + lateral heel slides work both knee straightening range of motion and hip mobility- both key to walking and stairs

2️⃣ Alternating knee kicks is a quick go to in order to get the blood flowing to your quadriceps and to reduce muscle tightness with knee bending and straightening

10-20 repetitions may be a good place to start depending on how they feel for you 🙌🏼

1-2 quick sets before getting out of bed can be helpful. If you have to race to the bathroom, you can also do these when you get back too in order to set yourself up for the day 👍🏽
