  1. Fractured my l2 doctors didn’t wanna do anything but opiates and pt. Nothing worked or helped. Was on the toilet one day stretched my back and realigned it myself. Doctor said my spine wasn’t out of alignment yet there I was fixing it.

  2. do you encounter numbness on your legs down to your toes? I cant even stand because i cant stretch my knees, need to wait at least 5 to 8 hrs before i can finally get up on my own. 😭

  3. I have fractures all along my spine from the mid section all the way down to my lumbar, and pain meds and muscle relaxants haven’t helped, they really give you no information that really helps. I’m 20 and the pain isn’t getting better

  4. I'm finding no information online or through my doctors office any information on what to except besides pain, no information on my LSO brace, I was told to keep it on for 30 days straight and can take it off at night after the 30 days. My pain is changing from bad to worse. Is this normal? Why doesn't anyone offer information on what to except and when to revisit my doctor? I can find peer reviewed studies on how and why we get fractures but not much else.

  5. Recently diagnosed with t11 and t12 fracture. The pain is the worst ive experienced and its so debilitating in so many ways. My Dr said it wont heal unless i take alendronic acid, which i agrred to at the time. I do not know how or how long ive had these fractures the last 4 weeks were the worst pain but starting to feel improvements like being able to reposition in bed and get out of bed with relatively little discomfort. After researching this to the 10th degree i feel a little more confident that one can live a decent life and more importantly improve bone health without having to take alondronic acid regardless of having a diagnosis of osteoporosis.

  6. Spinal fracture takes two weeks to heal, I have had it I know, old Owl 🦉 Alaya, what this lady should desrimination is between fracture and break. Fracture two weeks break, I do not know . Old Owl 🦉 Alaya.

  7. I got 2 compression fractures last year and 3 minor buldging discs from using a sledgehammer building loader buckets for a company that just wiped their hands of me
I just kept working until one day I just couldn’t go in only had an MRI and got the results about a month ago I told my doctor all I care about is whether I can train or not and get back into the gym and she said that’s probably the best thing I can do as she was going to advise me to strengthen my core anyhow and my back in order to support my back I used to be about 90kgs but I got hardly any muscle left on my back at the moment but I gotta see a pt but idk I’ve had my times stressing about it but from what I’ve read a lot of other people with compression fractures can’t walk

Anybody else out there been in this position and bulked up again and got better?? If so let me know would love some advice 🙏

  8. Really? My neurosurgeon told me my t7 spinal fracture wasn’t going to heal. I would just build a tolerance to the pain. It’s been 5 months, (20 weeks) still broken. Still in pain from hell.

  9. I have an incomplete Jefferson fracture. In other words my C1 is broken, so the bone that holds the weight of my head and is responsible for turning the head is broken.
I’m a little over 6 weeks, had my first CT last Friday and I’m healing right on time it will just be another 6 weeks 😅

  10. I've broken my back 5 times. The last time was 4 days ago. My advice is take the pain meds and be as mobile as possible. Getting up from the prone position is the most difficult part of the healing process. Edit: 2 Months late. Almost no pain, still a little sore but mobile enough to return to regular life. I take one pain med at night to ensure a good nights sleep.

  11. I had my lumbar spine fractured in Oct 2018. Was told that it should heal on its own but after two full months of excruciating pain, being out of work, being on painkillers, I had had enough. So I went back to the pain management doctor who also is a neurosurgeon and he told me that surgery was on the table, more specifically this minimally invasive procedure called kyphoplasty wherein you’re placed under anesthesia and the surgeon injects bone cement in your fractured vertebrae via syringe. I went home the same day, it’s an outpatient procedure. Although I still suffer from aches and flareups to this day, I would have arguably been way worse off had I never had it done. Glad I did. It’s not painful like a spinal fusion, I suggest people who have a fractured back/spine look into kyphoplasty.

  12. I got a compression fractures of T12 and L1 November of 2022 and I still can't walk without a walker, and can't go very far at all. Also, I can't stand in one place or more than 2 minutes. It is still not healed. So much pain. I think it depends where the break is. I broke a vertebrae in mid back (bra band area) 20 years ago, has no pain and it was healed in 12 weeks. However, it was a simple fracture. Compression fractures are a lot worse to heal and more painful.
