Hi Jen, I am 69 years old.chronic pain from C2 to hips. I have long levoscolios, with spinal stenosis. I walk dogs, and last 10 years walked 1-2 miles.
Last year, my bike pain was sharp. neurosurgeon said scoliosis at 36 degrees.
I have left hip and bilateral shoulder joint replacements. I also have 2 nerve stimulator for for neuropathy, and scoliosis.
I just have been doing these stretches, and have helped the sharpness of pain. I will need to advance a little. What should be next. The cat n cow is great
Its been a bit over 5-6 years since I've been coming back to this video, back to this practice.
As most of the folk here, I too found this solace while I was suffering from electrifying back pain.
It was during my time as a student in university. Cold winter of Canada, I had somehow gotten this lower back pain it was almost debilitating. Gone to the doctor they were putting me on pain meds and path to surgery.
Yet that was a ridiculous move to have made in my early 20s. So I searched for what many of us search "lower back pain relief" and found this video.
After the first go through itself, my pain subsided. I was amazed. I was shocked. "How is this possible?" Is what I thought. Few more rounds and my back pain was gone. That electric shock from lower back to my right leg poof, vanished…
Since then this has been my go to video, back pain, stiffness and relaxation. I have done this routine with my mother when she had a back pain and her condition began improving immediately. I have shared this with friends, with my ex-boss when she had some back pain from sitting habits and my mother-in-law when she had some sort of back pain.
Not all of these people had their problems fixed, but for many it drastically improved their conditions. To me who whole heartedly believe in this and will continue the practice dilligently till pain goes away, this has been my go to.
There isn't another video I've come back to consistently over such a long period of time to have gotten so much value from and has made my life better each time.
For that I am grateful to the team at PsycheTruth and Jen Hillman for this incredible life changing practice.

The guy who caused me pain in my lowerbackpain was recommended to me again while i watched your video. Men are the worst yoga teachers. They do hardcore asanas and than after the damage is done say something like: oh you can also try it with a blanket or a pillow to make it easier or show the alternatives when i already destroyed my body. I almost never feel pain when women describe me yoga.

Before I had an MRI I have been doing these stretches that are easy and not difficult on the body. I have cervical stenosis on the neck as well as a bulging disk on my lower back. It helps relieve the sciatica pain as well. I’ve learned and comfortable mates with super as well as pillow ( not poofy) will also help. I’ve gotten 60% better through it all 💜🙏🏻
She goes slowly and explains things very clearly. Plus she has a very soothing voice.
